SHEPHERDING-FELLOWSHIP SMALL GROUPS
Anticipation for the new small group effort was obviously high—89 signed up the first day!  Over 135 had signed up within a week.
Here are some of the changes that were made for
2009-2010.
  • Every member of the congregation is in a group, including those cannot attend services.
  • These groups fulfill two primary purposes—congregational caring and fellowship.
  • There are five groups, with group facilitators who assist with the group dynamics.
  • The groups generally meet once or twice each month, share informal fellowship, and complete service projects in the “Wish
    List Ministry."
  • Groups customarily meet at 6:00 p.m. Sundays.

SMALL GROUPS EFFORT TO EXPAND:
MORE GROUPS TO BE ADDED, INCLUDING COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY (CBS)GROUPS
Future plans include a test run of community Bible study groups, supplemented by Neighborhood Bible Study groups.  These
groups will help us renew our efforts to reach out into the community around us with the story of Jesus.
